Join in a Family Skate & See NHL Alumni Play
The Alzeimer Society of Calgary and Gordie Howe Centrefor Alzheimer's Research and Education Society (GH C.A.R.E.S) recently embarked on a multi-yearpartnership to increase knowledge and capacity in the community to support local people impacted by dementia.
The annual GH C.A.R.E.S Pro-Am Hockey Tournament, is open to public spectators. A dementia-friendly event - a family skate - has also been added to the roster and will be open to the public. Catch local and amateur players competing side-by-side with NHL Alumni like Hall-of-Famer Lanny McDonald, Flames favourites Robyn Regehr, Gary Roberts, Mike Commodore and many more. Entrance is free and donations are welcome. All proceeds help local people impacted by dementia through support, education and research.
