Welcome to My Personal Page
In May 2026, I will be participating in the Gordie Howe CARES Pro-Am Tournament, a weekend hockey event that brings together NHL Alumni and community players to raise funds for dementia support and education. This year the goal is to raise $1.5 million to support these important programs.
This cause is deeply personal to me. My Dad is currently living with late-stage dementia, and the impact on our family has been devastating. We used to talk about my career and current events; now the only things I can ask him are whether he’s hot or cold and how tired he feels. And he's having issues answering those questions lately.
Watching someone you love go through this is incredibly difficult. It’s also incredibly hard to see the toll it takes on caregivers — including my Mom and the staff at the long-term care facility where my Dad is currently residing — who carry the day-to-day responsibility of supporting someone living with dementia.
Gordie Howe CARES provides education, resources, and support not only for people living with dementia, but also for the caregivers who support them. Programs like these help families navigate an overwhelming journey and ensure they don’t have to face it alone.
If you’re able to support this cause, any donation helps. Your generosity will directly support families and caregivers navigating dementia.
Thank you for taking the time to visit my page and for considering helping families like mine.
