In May of 2026, I will participate in the Gordie Howe CARES Pro-Am. The Pro-Am is a weekend hockey event where we welcome NHL Alumni from across North America to help us raise money for the Gordie Howe CARES Centre for Alzheimer’s Research and Education Society.
This cause is one that is very personal to me and it is an immense honor to be participating in this event for the fourth time, raising money for resources aimed at such a meaningful and necessary cause.
In 2022 I lost my lovely Aunt - Arlene - to this devastating disease. Having seen it first hand I understand the immense hardships that individuals and their loved ones experience when facing something like this. It cannot be understated how important it is to continue to provide resources and support for causes like this and the tremendous impact that this foundation has in the fight against Alzheimer's.
