Welcome to My Personal Page
Hello friends,
Once again, I will be participating in the Gordie Howe CARES Pro-Am fundraising tournament in support of Alzheimer’s. This year marks my 13th year as captain of my team, raising funds for a cause that has touched my family and many others deeply. I’m reaching out today to ask for your support in continuing this fight.
In 2010, my mom was diagnosed with Alzheimer’s. What followed was a long journey for our family, but through it all, she faced the disease with remarkable grace. During those years, my dad, Lloyd, became her full-time caregiver. Every single day, he stood by her side with unwavering love, patience and devotion. Watching him care for her was one of the most powerful examples of love our family has ever witnessed. In 2025, after a 15-year battle, my mom peacefully passed away.
Alzheimer’s doesn’t just take memories. It slowly takes pieces of the person you love and it changes the lives of everyone around them. Having already lost my grandmother to this disease, our family has now experienced that heartbreak twice. And sadly, Alzheimer’s continues to impact us, as my wife’s mother has recently been diagnosed and is in the early stages of the disease. This is why this cause means so much to me and so many others.
Every dollar raised helps provide support for families living with Alzheimer’s, assists caregivers who give so much of themselves and helps fund research that brings us closer to a cure for this devastating disease.
