My grandma Rey was a major influence on my childhood, and was a
wonderful caring lady who I spent a lot of time with growing up. Her
lust for life, intelligence, care and compassion for myself and my
family are all things I remember fondly and carry with me today. She
was affected by Alzheimer's at far too young of an age, and I saw first
hand the devastation of this disease. This is a great cause that funds
continued research in the battle to end Alzheimer's and the damage it
has on victims and their families.

In May of 2024, I will participate in the Gordie Howe CARES Pro-Am. The Pro-Am is a weekend hockey event where we welcome NHL Alumni from across North America to help us raise money for the Gordie Howe CARES Centre for Alzheimer’s Research and Education Society.
