Welcome to My Personal Page
Once again, in May 2025 I will be playing in the Gordie Howe CARES Pro-Am hockey tournament. This Pro-Am hockey event invites NHL Alumni from across North America to Calgary to help raise funds for the Gordie Howe CARES Centre for Alzheimer’s Research and Education Society.
Based on fundraising and donations each team will draft an Alumni player to join their team for this 3 day tournament. Last year Calgary teams alone raised over 1.8 million dollars, with 100% of dollars raised going directly to GH CARES charity . I am beyond proud to say Goodbuggers Hockey raised just over $80,000, thanks to the many kind donations we received.
As the signature fundraising event of Gordie Howe CARES, the Pro-Am tournament has a multi-faceted objective.
Your tax deductible donation allows Gordie Howe CARES to provide education and support to the caregivers that selflessly dedicate their time caring for loved ones affected with Alzheimer's and dementia related diseases, so they are never alone on their journey. Through the incorporation of video stories, advice, and planning tools, they can feel confident making decisions collectively while maintaining their health and relationships at home and in the workplace.
Last year was the first year I played in the tournament. It was well organized and professional but most of all it was a fun, positive weekend for all. What impressed me most was the number of volunteers, players, fans and donors whose efforts made and make this a first class event and fundraiser.
My goal this year is to raise $2500. If you are able and willing, please help support Gordie Howe CARES by donating to mine and the Goodbuggers fundraising efforts. Whatever you can contribute will be truly appreciated!
Thank you again for your support. I will keep you posted on our progress.
Take Care,
Brad
